Rohit Sharma to be tested in IPL Former Australia captain without leaving Rohit

Former Australia superstar Brad Hogg talks regarding the Mumbai Indians captain ahead of the start of the new season in the IPL. Hogg reckons that Rohit Sharma will face big tests as captain in the new season of the IPL.

He was responding to questions from fans on his YouTube channel.

Mumbai Indians are generally considered to be the front runners-up in the IPL.

Mumbai will have captain Rohit Sharma, bowling spearhead Jaspreet Bumra, cashier Ishant Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav and all-rounder Kieron Pollard. However, Hogg points out that the team is not that strong.

It is doubtful whether the team has enough strength in the middle order. Hogg also points out that the power of the middle order when the Pandya brothers were in Mumbai is no longer there.

‘As a captain, Rohit Sharma is really going to be tested this year. Because the team is not strong enough in the middle order like last year.

With the increase in the number of teams and the inclusion of top bowlers in all the teams, the strength of the bowling department of the team has diminished.

Mumbai Indians were the best team in the IPL. But now they are going to be tested, ‘said Brad Hogg.

Earlier, Brad Hogg had said his comments regarding Rohit Sharma. Hogg had earlier said that big tournaments were coming up following the IPL and it remains to be seen how Rohit will cope with the pressure of those matches.

Mumbai will play their first match in the IPL on March 27. The rivals are Delhi Capitals.
