Between March 16 and 22, 10,561 coronavirus contaminations were diagnosed on average per day, or 17% more than during the previous seven-day reference period. At the same time, some 37,400 tests (+6%) were carried out daily on average, for a positivity rate of 30% (+3.5 percentage points).

The number of hospital admissions also increased, to 192 (+16%) per day between March 19 and 25.

On Friday, 2,680 patients who tested positive for Covid-19 were in hospital (+16%), including 165 (-3%) in intensive care.

Between March 16 and 22, nearly 20 people (-11%) died on average per day as a result of the coronavirus.

The reproduction rate (Rt), which measures the degree of contagiousness of the virus, is 1.11. When this indicator is greater than 1, it means that the epidemic tends to accelerate.
