Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins dies

In news that shocks the planet’s music scene, the death of Taylor Hawkins, drummer for the Foo Fighters, was confirmed tonight.

The death of the 50-year-old musician was confirmed by the band through social networks. The instrumentalist was found dead in a hotel north of Bogotá, where his group was preparing tonight to play at the Estéreo Picnic festival, a presentation that was canceled.

According to Semana Magazine, in the hotel where the band was staying there is a group of judicial police and forensic forensic doctors doing the respective removal of the body.

The Americans had played just a week ago, on Friday the 18th, at the closing of the first night of the Lollapalooza Santiago festival. There he starred in one of the most emotional moments of the evening, when he sang a cover of Somebody to love of Queen and shook the Bicentennial Park of Cerrillos.

After the capital, the group’s next step was Lollapalooza in Buenos Aires, where they were on Sunday, March 20. It was his last concert with the group.
