A surreal and hilarious exchange. Like other celebrities, Julien Doré is regularly usurped his identity. Fake profiles take advantage of fans’ gullibility to ask for money on the internet. The French singer denounced the practice by sharing a funny conversation with one of them.
“I just spoke with the real Julien Doré”
“How long have you been following me?”asks the charlatan first. “Koh-Lanta 2007”replies Julien Doré. “Do you know some titles of my songs?”then replies the counterfeiter. “There is where happiness (by Christophe Maé, Editor’s note)”, slips the composer tit for tat, screenshots in support. The exchange ends with a photo where the Frenchman gives the scammer the middle finger to prove to him that it really is regarding him. Mythical.
“I’ve just had a chat with the real Julien Doré… He seems cool but he always ends up needing tunes and asking me for my credit card number. Friends, I’ll tell you once more here: pay attention to the many fake profiles that contact you on Insta and Facebook (usually in response to your comments) and always end up asking you for money (on Whatsapp, etc)”added the singer in a slightly more serious tone.
