Alappuzha: The protest by the Youth Congress once morest the Silver Line project in Alappuzha ended in a clash with the police. The cause of the clash was the attempt of the Youth Congress activists to throw stones at the Alappuzha collectorate premises.
Police arrested the activists who entered the collectorate premises. There was a tussle between the police and the activists. Politics were given to dismiss the activists.
A similar protest took place yesterday. The Youth Congress had also symbolically stoned the Silver Line survey at the Kozhikode and Palakkad collectorate premises. Attempts were also made to throw stones at the Secretariat and the Chief Minister’s official residence.
