Inscription, developed by Daniel Mullins, won Game of the Year at the Game Developer Choice Awards (GDCA).
Inscription is a rogue-like deck building game that tells the story of surviving a card game of death and fear. The game maintains a score of 85 on Metacritic and ‘overwhelmingly positive’ by Steam users.
Inscription won the Seamus McNally Grand Prize, the highest award at the Independent Games Festival (IGF) held in conjunction with the Game Developers Conference, making it the first game to win GDCA and IGF.
The GDCA was awarded in a total of 12 fields, and Dragon Quest’s father Yuji Horii was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award as a person who had a major impact on the industry.
