to see on sunday

In support of the Ukrainian people, the film Olga will be screened on Sunday evening March 27 at 7:30 p.m. at Cinemotion Rex, in Fribourg. All proceeds from the evening will be donated to charity. The director Elie Grappe will also be present in order to discuss with the public, as well as, among others, Andrej Lushnycky (honorary consul of Ukraine) and Thierry Steiert (trustee of Fribourg). Released some time ago in Swiss cinemas, Olga is the beautiful portrait of a 15-year-old Ukrainian gymnast, exiled in Switzerland. In 2013, she tried to find her place at the National Sports Center in Macolin. But as she trains hard, the Euromaidan revolt breaks out in Kyiv, suddenly involving her relatives. The young girl is preparing for the European championship but this outbreak of violence that enters her life threatens to turn everything upside down. The main role is played by Anastasia Budiashkina, a real athlete whose intense performance has a lot to do with her success.
