The daughter of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu published pictures of her and her six-month-old daughter, dressed in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, amid widespread criticism from social media users of her father for the invasion of Ukraine.

According to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, the 31-year-old Ksenia Shoigu has not shown any public support for her father since the beginning of the war, and she has not done like the rest of the Russian elites who have published pictures, symbols and propaganda videos on their social media accounts to show support for the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

In photos that Ksenia published of her and her daughter on several social networking sites, the daughter of the Minister of Defense wore yellow clothes, while her daughter wore blue clothes, the two colors that make up the Ukrainian flag.

Although it is not clear whether the color coordination is just a coincidence or an intentional act of Ksenia, experts say that in the current situation nothing happens without awareness or focus.

Comments swirled around Ksenia’s post, with a woman from Ukraine telling her that “Mothers of Ukraine are begging you to stop the war. you are a mother! Can you not imagine how our mothers feel when bombs and bullets kill their children?”

Ksenia continues to use Instagram, even though her father’s government has described it as “encouraging extremist activities” and has blocked access to it on the Russian Internet, saying it contains “calls for violence” once morest Russian soldiers.

She added: “Any military action is a last resort, and that means we have no other way out. I would never be ashamed of being Russian. I love my motherland and its people, wherever they are.”

“I will work and do what I can to help and support those in need and to take care of my family and loved ones,” she added.
