Al-Marsad newspaper: Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Commerce announced the defamation of a Saudi citizen, a Saudi citizen and a resident of Syrian nationality, following a court ruling was issued convicting them of committing a cover-up crime in the contracting sector in Jeddah.

The ministry said: “The details of the case refer to the arrest of the crime of cover-up in two contracting facilities, the first belonging to the citizen Samir bin Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Aqeel, and the second to the citizen Lulu bint Muhammad bin Junaidi bin Muhammad.”

She added: “It was found that the owners of the two facilities concealed the resident Maher bin Qasim Al Kabeer, enabling him to engage in contracting activities, work for his own account, supervise and implement his projects directly, and conclude contracts with dealers.”

The ministry indicated that “it became clear that the financial dealings of the undercover increased and that he transferred the funds resulting from the cover-up crime outside the Kingdom, while giving the citizen and citizenship a small monthly fee for using their commercial registry.”

And she continued: “Accordingly, the violators were referred to the judiciary, in implementation of the provisions of the anti-cover-up system, while the Criminal Court in Jeddah issued a final judicial ruling imposing a fine of 350,000 riyals and defaming the violators at their expense, and imprisoning the disguised citizen for 3 months and imprisoning the covert resident for a similar period.” .

The ministry concluded that the penalties included “closing the facility, liquidating the activity, writing off the commercial register, prohibiting the practice of commercial activity, collecting zakat, fees and taxes, and expelling the hidden resident from the Kingdom and not allowing him to return to it to work.”
