Successful counterattacks in front of Kyiv +++ Selenskyj calls for worldwide demonstrations

Ahead of the NATO summit on Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for “effective and unreserved support” from the military alliance – including all the weapons his country needs to repel the Russian invasion. “We ask that the alliance declare that it will fully help Ukraine to win this war, rid our territory of the invaders and restore peace in Ukraine,” Zelenskyy said late Wednesday in his late-night video address to the Nation.

Selenskyj will speak at the NATO summit via video, his office said. He appealed to western countries to remain united in view of Russian efforts to sway some partners towards Russian interests and get them on their side.

“We will see who is a friend, who is a partner and who sold us and betrayed us,” he said. “Together, we should not allow Russia to break anyone in NATO, the EU or the G-7, to break them and get them on the side of the war.”

Zelenskyy noted that Ukrainian airspace is still not closed to Russian planes and missiles. In addition, Ukraine has not received combat aircraft or modern air defense systems as requested. He said his country also needs tanks and anti-ship systems.
