Her real name is Elaine Dagher, but later known as (Mona Dagher), she was born in 1923, of Lebanese descent, and her mother is Asia Dagher, who is considered the most famous film producer in the Arab world, she moved to live in Egypt,

And the artist Mona began to change these roles, but the directors were choosing her to embody these characters because she was distinguished in them and mastered them brilliantly. Mona Dagher met a well-known lawyer in the early fifties.
They entered into a love affair that led to marriage, even though she is a Christian and he is a Muslim. They agreed that religion should not affect their love relationship. After five months, Mona Dagher decided to convert to Islam.
I went for Hajj and decided to adhere to Islamic rituals and teachings. In her first Hajj, she was born in Al-Baqi’, and gave birth to a girl named Fatima Al-Zahra.
She asked her mother to get her films that she participated in and get rid of them, and her mother refused, considering that those films do not belong to her.
It was one of the wishes of the artist Mona Dagher to die in Al-Baqi’, and in fact in 2000 she went to perform the Hajj, and she died there and more than fifty thousand worshipers prayed for her in the Prophet’s Mosque, and she was buried in Medina.
