With cries of “Pedro is not a doctor, he is a rapist”, “Pedro rapist, Pedro rapist” and “justice, justice, justice”, approximately 50 women, students of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Autonomous University of Carmen, They demonstrated in the Central Park and marched to the Oral Trial Chambers, to demand justice for the alleged case of rape of a practitioner by an IMSS doctor.
Without giving any statement to the media, the young women left shortly following 1:30 p.m. from the Central Park, where they met, to proceed along Central Avenue, turning onto Contadores Avenue, following Central Peripheral Avenue, and then join Libertada Avenue, until you reach the Oral Trial Chambers.
With cardboard in their hands, with the legends “that he be a doctor, he is not exempt from being a rapist”, “I do believe you sister”, “I want my friends to graduate, not raped”, “if they touch one, we all respond” among others, the young women demanded that Dr. Pedro Daniel OG be linked to the process during the initial hearing.
“We want justice”, “we want it to be a fair trial and for our partner’s voice to be heard; I want to feel safe, free”, “I want them to believe us, not to question our word”, “I want to go to my clinical practices, without fear of being raped”, “I want to go to school without having to take care of each of my acts”, “I don’t want to be called a pretty doctor, or a miss, I come to study and work”, were some of the harangues that the young women expressed during their march.
Surveillance while walking
The march was guarded by elements of the State Preventive Police, who placed a patrol in front of the contingent and two motorcycles behind the demonstrators, to avoid accidents.
Upon arriving at the Oral Trials Chamber, the contingent stood at its entrance, while personnel from the Judiciary closed the access door with a baton to prevent their access.
