The National Oil Company (ENAP) announced during the day on Wednesday, March 23, a new increase in the price of all fuels and gasoline of 6.7 pesos per liter ($/lt).
According to the report and the detail provided, 93 and 97 octane gasoline will rise $6.7 per liter ($/lt).
On the other hand, a new rise in the value of diesel was reported, which totaled 6.7 pesos per liter.
For LPG or liquefied petroleum gas for vehicle use, a rise of 6.7 pesos per liter is calculated for this week.
● 93 eighths: +6.7 pesos per liter
● 97 eighths: +6.7 pesos per liter
● Diesel: +6.7 pesos per liter
● Gas: +6.7 pesos per liter
The foregoing, considering the norms and rules of the Import Price, the Fuel Stabilization Mechanism (MEPCO) together with the Oil Price Stabilization Fund (FEPP). This, added to the mechanisms established by the authority.
Finally, it is recalled that Enap does not regulate or set fuel prices in the Chilean market.
“Its role is solely that of wholesale marketer of the different hydrocarbons to the distribution companies”, was indicated from the company.
Adjustment to MEPCO and gasoline prices
It should be noted that this Wednesday, the Senate Finance Committee approved the project that doubles the resources of the Fuel Price Stabilization Mechanism (MEPCO).
In this sense, the government’s initiative that intends to generate a higher ceiling in the aforementioned mechanism and thus limit the rise in gasoline prices was unanimously given the green light.
Regarding paraffin, liquefied gas and public transport, there is the commitment of the Minister of Finance, Mario Marcel. This, so that there are bills that deal with these matters during April.
