The price of a liter of diesel starts to rise once more on Thursday, the FPS Economy announced on Wednesday. It is returning to its level before the reduction in excise duties decided by the government.
From Thursday, the consumer will have to pay 2.0780 euros for a liter of B7 diesel, an increase of 0.174 euro.
For a liter of B10 diesel, you will have to pay 2.0580 euros, an increase of 0.176 euros.
The liter of diesel XTL will increase to 3.6980 euros are an increase of 0.115 euro.
These price(s) result(s) from fluctuations in the prices of petroleum products and/or bio-components inherent in their composition(s) on international markets.
The price of crude oil remains high. The barrel of Brent from the North Sea – which determines the price at the pump – rose once more on Wednesday by 36 cents to reach 115.84 dollars.
The barrel of American WTI took 34 cents and settled at 109.61 dollars. Volatility remains high due to the war in Ukraine. The pressures on Russia, one of the biggest oil producers in the world, contribute to create uncertainty on the markets.
Prices peaked at the start of the war, at their highest level since 2008. They then fell slightly, but remain historically expensive.
