Paola Reyner and Ana Paula Simón have found in “What a woman” the ideal vehicle to create ties between womenthat is why they are ready for their tenth edition, which will be in a hybrid format, with which they seek to continue empowering Mexican women

One of the projects that has become a spearhead for growth and sisterhood among women is “What a Woman”a project that since its inception aimed to create community and accompany its participants in their physical and emotional development.

After two digital editions, they are back with a hybrid event, with which they intend to give continuity to what they have won during the pandemic, as they talk Ana Paula Simón and Paola Reyner, mind and heart behind this important platform.

“The tenth edition is very special for us, apart from the fact that it is our come back to the face-to-face world, following two digital ones, we are very excited to see everyone once more, because despite the fact that the online format was incredible, since we arrived to all those who might not fly to Mexico City to attend the events and were able to experience it virtually, face-to-face treatment is very valuable”

“What a Woman is a platform that, in the end, the most powerful thing we have is that we create a community and a great brotherhood, it is not the same to do it from afar, even though we have many digital resources. Being physically at an event, meeting women who are interested in the same topics as you, talking and networking is what excites us the most, being able to continue growing this community in each edition, generating loyalty and value for the attendees”

emphasizes Ana Paula Simón.

Work that little by little is paying off socially, as Ana Paula points out, “the woman of our first edition of 2014, is not the same as that of 2022, we have seen how the topics that interest them, the things they want us to touch and the type of content has changed a lot. Today they are increasingly thirsty for information, for more knowledge, to be more up-to-date, more prepared, and it is a change that fascinates us as a platform, because we have really realized how the Mexican is empowering herself, seeking to leave Go ahead and find out more.”

That is why they adapt their contents to the needs of the historical moment in which they live.

“That is the challenge that we have every year, for example, speaking of the two digital editions, we touch a lot on the subject of mental health, right now everyone wants a break, so we are going to get away from that”,

shares Reyner, who anticipates that among the novelties is addressing finance and entrepreneurship,

“This type of content has been increasing. It is to understand what is happening, in the third or fourth edition we opened a special safe awareness room to find your own path, the spiritual part. We have always adapted to the trends and needs of our participants; Another important point is the part of experiences, before we focused a lot on the rooms and content, now what we have are many more experiences, one of our objectives is to generate community among women, to interact, get to know each other and make ties”.

It will be on May 14 and 15 that What a Woman will be held in a hybrid format to maintain that community that they achieved through the digital world and that might hardly come to Mexico City.

“On our platform we will share some of our content with live broadcasts, others will be uploaded later so that they can be seen later. We want to have this mix and we are launching episodes in alliance with the podcast From Myth to Fact, so that women who cannot attend have memorable experiences from their homes”,

Simon tells. Only on this occasion will it be held in May, since its nature is within the framework of International Women’s Day, but, due to the situation that was experienced at the beginning of the year, they decided to postpone it to have a more secure outlook for all those involved.

ALL READY!

The St. Regis Mexico City will be the setting for What a Woman, “We have already done it there in past editions, we are happy to return, because it is a venue that we liked very much”, shares Paola, who also invites you to be very attentive to her social networks (@wwmexico), where they are constantly communicating the details of the speakers, activities and the sale of tickets for the face-to-face event, since the digital issue will be open to those interested.

It will be two days, so they hope to meet the requirements of the attendees.

“Our challenge on the agenda is to touch on all kinds of topics, from the physical part, wellness, spiritual, cooking, sexuality, entrepreneurship, finance and social responsibility, we try to ensure that our activities touch all the points of interest for the woman”,

confirma Reyner.

Its market has become a great showcase for national talent, as Ana Pau says.

“The call for Mexican brands that want to join is still open; like every year we will have a wide variety of products from clothing and jewelry to food healthysupplements, accessories and more, the focus is always to give this space to Mexican entrepreneurs who can position themselves and make themselves known within the same platform”.

Although the work they do with What a Woman has given them great satisfaction, Paola is aware that much remains to be done to promote female development in our country.

“Of course there have been many changes, that we are in the process and moving forward, but I do believe that there is a lack of awareness, above all, because you still find yourself in talks or in matters of opinion leaders speaking as if the gender issue did not exist, that it was something that only belongs to women. In the day to day that we live it does not exist, that is why it is important to continue creating awareness, continue involving both men and women, we always invite men to attend What a Woman and every year we are surprised that they go more and more, because that way we can promote awareness regarding female empowerment and gender equality, which is something that should be equal, I think of it as a league, if only we advance and men do not, that league is going to come back, that’s why it has to be the two parties, so that we go together and move towards that change”.

Finally, Ana Pau feels happy with the work they do with this initiative.

“Having the luck of having found a platform in which our work is making a difference, putting a grain of sand and collaborating to make a better Mexican society, is something that fills me very much. I have my sisters, my friends and I see all the women around me and I say: ‘if what I do can make a difference to them, I feel full’, I am aware of luck, not everyone can or for different reasons manages to work in a place that makes him fall in love so much, but I think that part of this infatuation is what makes us keep creating new ideas, keep creating new experiences and see how to evolve to really continue to impact”.
