CASTAÑOS, COAHUILA.- In less than 3 months of work, the Castaños City Council, chaired by Doctor Juan Antonio Garza García, has shown its commitment to solving the needs of rural communities on a par with those of the inhabitants of the urban area with carrying out more than 7 works both to improve the water supply and to clean and desilt, among many other actions for the benefit of these communities.
To continue listening and providing solutions to the requests of all the inhabitants of the Castaños ejidos, this Tuesday followingnoon the Mayor, together with the treasurer, Juan Antonio Campuzano Oviedo, and the director of Public Works, Homero Borrego, toured Santa Teresa and San Lorenzo.
In the first community, the authorities promised to rehabilitate one of their water wells this week to solve the shortage of the vital liquid they face, as far as they went to evaluate the repairs that it will imply.
In addition, in support of Servants of the Nation of the Ministry of Welfare, all the doubts of its inhabitants regarding the federal programs that are active for them were resolved.
Later, in the ejido San Lorenzo, better known as “El Tanquito”, the authorities also entered one of its ponds to evaluate the desilting work that will begin in the coming days.
These works will be added to those already undertaken in other ejidos, such as the repair of the Bocatoche-Santo Domingo road, the cleaning of the Palo Blanco ejido water hole, the desilting of another pond in El Granjeno, the installation of photocells for the operation of the well of water from the El Zago ejido, as well as the removal of tons of sand and gravel from the water channels of the La Gloria ejido, better known as “El Marquez”.
It should be noted that, in addition, through the Department of Rural Development, local producers are being supported with the program for the acquisition of low-cost sacks of sorghum seed and the opening of a local module of the Agrarian Attorney’s Office in the civic center of the Independencia neighborhood that will be giving attention to all the ejidatarios of Castaños every 15 days.
