“Russia can’t win,” says UN secretary general

“Ukraine cannot be conquered city by city, street by street, house by house,” Guterres said on Tuesday in New York. “This war cannot be won. Sooner or later, we will have to move from the battlefield to the negotiating table.”

The UN Secretary General also pointed out that Russia’s war was once morest international law, violated UN treaties and caused terrible suffering. Citizens are terrorized by the systematic bombardments, he denounced. “The continuation of the war in Ukraine is morally unacceptable, politically indefensible and militarily unnecessary. It is time to end this senseless war.”
