Kerala Covid Cases 22 March 2022: 5353 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment

Kerala Covid Cases 22 March 2022: Kovid-19 confirmed for 702 cases in Kerala. Outbreaks were reported in Ernakulam 146, Thiruvananthapuram 87, Kottayam 76, Idukki 64, Kozhikode 62, Kollam 58, Pathanamthitta 50, Thrissur 38, Malappuram 27, Kannur 26, Alappuzha 24, Wayanad 23, Palakkad 15 and Kasaragod 6 districts.

During the last 24 hours, 24,313 samples were tested.

There are currently 17,541 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 16,944 are under home / institutional quarantine and 597 are under hospital surveillance. About 80 people were newly admitted to the hospital.

Currently, out of 5353 Kovid cases, only 10.4 per cent are admitted to hospitals / field hospitals.

Kovid-19 has been confirmed to cause 4 deaths in the last 24 hours. In addition, 9 deaths were reported in the previous days due to late receipt of documents and 39 deaths due to appeal by the Central Government under the new guidelines of the Supreme Court. This brings the total death toll in the state to 67,415.

Today, none of the confirmed cases are from outside the state. 663 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 31 is not clear. Eight health workers were affected by the disease.

730 people who were diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 138, Kollam 38, Pathanamthitta 47, Alappuzha 6, Kottayam 75, Idukki 67, Ernakulam 103, Thrissur 39, Palakkad 20, Malappuram 21, Kozhikode 99, Wayanad 31, Kannur 44 and Kasaragod 2 were cured. With this, 5353 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 64,54,752 have so far been released from Kovid.
