FC St. Pauli: Australians in quarantine! Jackson Irvine: “I’m fine.” – 2. Bundesliga

St. Paulis Jackson Irvine (29) reported on Instagram from his corona quarantine. Good news for St Pauli as the Australian appears to be asymptomatic and might return to training this weekend.

Irvine tested positive on Saturday, missing his international trip to the crucial World Cup qualifiers once morest Japan in Sydney and Saudi Arabia in Riyadh.

Irvine, addressing his national team-mates: “I wish I might be there on Thursday, but I’m sending my support to the team for this week. Time to make another piece of history.”

There are currently no other corona cases in St. Pauli. Even on the days off, all players test themselves daily.

So far there have only been isolated cases in the past. Coach Timo Schultz and the players Luca Zander, Igor Matanovic, Simon Makienok, Christopher Buchtmann, Sören Ahlers and Afeez Aremu had a corona infection one following the other.
