Initially, it was assumed that Renault Russia would return to work a week earlier, but once morest the backdrop of ongoing disruptions in the supply of components and an acute shortage of parts for new cars, production might not be resumed on time – the downtime was extended for another seven days. Earlier, the head of Renault Group, Luca de Meo, said that the Moscow site is highly dependent on the supply of imported components, since the share of foreign parts in manufactured models is approximately 40 percent.
Simultaneously with Arkana, Duster and Kaptur, the assembly of two other Renault models, Logan and Sandero, which are produced at the AvtoVAZ plant in Tolyatti on the B0 line (Lada XRay and Largus are produced on the same line), has resumed. According to the company’s plans, later this year Logan and Sandero of the new, third generation will be put on the conveyor.
