During the new loading screen, we can thus read the following mention: “The buildings were destroyed. It’s up to the Resistance to get it back. Join your team and help the Seven uncover the nefarious plan of the Imaginary Orders“. However, Epic Games indicates that this new way of playing will be accompanied by a number of changes. aimed at compensating for the lack of protection for players.

Fortnite: more buildings, but more resistant characters

Indeed, the developer released the following announcement: “To help maintain your coverage, you now have an Overshield in addition to your shield and health. The Overshield is your first line of defense: before your Shield and your Health take a hit, your Overshield will crack. This will recover, even if it drops to 0“.

Mobility has also been improved. In effect, players can now move at a new speed, faster by default. Another size change, it is now possible to hang on and then climb to the top of obstacles. Epic Games adds as follows: “If a surface is just a little too high for your jump – or a platform just a little too far for your landing – your hands can kick in and pull you up!“.

The new Battle Pass grants access to Doctor Strange, as well as characters like Tsuki 2.0, Gunnar, and The Origin. There is also two new weapons to grab, the Combat SMG and the Striker Burst Rifle. The developer will also follow the global movement in support of ukrainewhereas FIFA has banned Russian teams from the game.
