On Sunday followingnoon, two motorbikes, on which two people were sitting, collided. All four teenagers had to be taken to a hospital following the fall.
A 17-year-old and an 18-year-old rode their motorcycle towards Dietschwil SG on Sunday followingnoon. A 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman were also traveling in the same direction on a motorcycle. For previously unknown reasons, the two motorcycles collided at the junction with a gravel path, as the St. Gallen cantonal police wrote in a statement.
A 17-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman were seriously injured. They had to be flown to the hospital by Rega. The 18- and 19-year-old man suffered unspecified injuries and were taken to hospital by ambulance.
There was property damage of several thousand francs. The course of the accident is now being determined under the direction of the public prosecutor of the canton of St.Gallen.
Schönauerstrasse had to be closed for the duration of the accident investigation. A detour was signaled by the local fire department. In addition to several patrols by the St.Gallen canton police, the St.Gallen canton’s public prosecutor’s office, the Kirchberg-Lütisburg fire brigade, Rega with two helicopters, an emergency doctor and the rescue service with several vehicles were on duty.
