“It’s football and the time of the season where efficiency is important. We talked regarding it before the game. We had our moments, more than Gantoise. But Ghent played well and on the only chance they had in the second half, they made the difference. We can’t score and we get caught. It’s football, I’ve experienced it quite regularly in my career. But I have the feeling that something is still going to happen. There is a team that will drop points and we have to believe in it.“
Belgium is the only country which has as a rule that the goal average does not matter.
With two games still to play, Vincent Kompany does not intend to let go, even if it will be necessary to count on a misstep from Ghent or Antwerp, the Mauves goal average being useless: “Belgium is the only country which has as a rule that the goal average has no importance, it means that we can do what we want, we no longer have our destiny in our hands. We just have to win our matches and I’m still convinced that Ghent or Antwerp will drop something. There should be no regrets in giving everything.
