Georgia Hall clearly wins the second tournament of the season on the Ladies European Tour. The Englishwoman dominated in Saudi Arabia to win the 2022 Aramco Saudi Ladies International by five shots over Kristyna Napoleaova. Hall topped the leaderboard following each day and had a reassuring lead during the final round that brought her home safely. The 2018 British Open winner wins for the first time on the Ladies European Tour.
From a German point of view, some female golfers were teeing off at the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club. Sophie Witt, who shared the lead with Hall following the first round, finished the $1 million tournament as the best German in the top 10.
After an even-par front nine, Witt played a strong back nine on the final day. Despite a double bogey on the par 3 hole 16, the young proette made it into the clubhouse with a three-under thanks to five birdies on the back nine. After rounds of 69, 75, 75 and 69 shots, Sophie Witt shared tenth place, the best result of her career. Chiara Noja started the final with the best German prospects, but lost a few more places on Sunday following a three-over-par 75. The shared 13th place is still a strong result for the still underage Proette, who lives in Dubai .

Olivia Cowan started a comeback following a weaker opening round (78 strokes) and came back with rounds of 70, 71 and 71. With two shots over par, the German ranks T17 overall.
Leonie Harm mit Hole-in-One
Leonie Harm played her best round (69) on Friday, but provided the highlight of the tournament on Sunday. On the par 3 hole 8, she sunk her cue ball into the hole with her tee shot. The hole-in-one was the first-ever for the 24-year-old, who finishes the Saudi Ladies International at T35.
From a German-speaking point of view, Karolin Lampert and the Austrian Sarah Schober (both T39) and the Swiss Kim Metraux (T59) are behind.
Record on the Ladies European Tour
The round of the tournament was played by Kelly Whaley, who was special in several respects. The American signed a 63 in the clubhouse, by far the deepest round of the 2022 Saudi Ladies International and a shared course record at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club. Whaley holed eight times in a row (!) on holes 4 to 11 and a total of nine birdies. The birdie series represents a new record on the Ladies European Tour.
