macOS Monterey 12.3 is now available. Universal control for iPad is finally implemented-Engadget Japanese version

Apple started distributing macOS Monterey 12.3 on the early morning of the 15th. You can update from “About this Mac”> “Upgrade Now” in the Apple menu (from the apple mark on the upper left) or “Software Update” in System Preferences.

When you update your Mac to macOS 12.3 and your iPad to iPadOS 15.4, Universal Control is automatically enabled and no manual settings are required.

This update also adds new emojis such as facial expressions, hand gestures, and furnishings. For handshake emojis, you can now select different skin tones for each hand.

Other Macs with M1 chips have enhanced spatial audio capabilities. For one thing, compatible models such as AirPods Pro can now use dynamic head tracking in the Music app. Furthermore, when using AirPods that support spatial audio, you can customize the “Off”, “Fixed”, and “Head Tracking” settings in the Control Center.

This release also includes the following enhancements for Mac:

An episode filter has been added to the Podcast App to filter seasons and episodes that have been played, unplayed, saved, or downloaded.

Safari’s web page translation function supports Italian and Chinese (traditional)

“Shortcut” supports adding / deleting / searching tags in “Reminder”

You can add your own notes to the saved password

Improved battery capacity measurement accuracy

This release also includes the following bug fixes for Mac:

An issue where audio may sound distorted while watching video in a TV application

Problems where photos and videos may be unintentionally moved when organizing a “photos” album
