“It’s out of the question”
The announcements by Health Minister Rauch to reduce the quarantine are therefore – unsurprisingly – not well received in Vienna. The situation in Vienna is difficult – and many employees in the health system are on sick leave – but Hacker is still in Vienna today clear: “There (note: in the health sector) even for a second to think regarding letting infected employees work is out of the question, out of the question in Vienna and to be honest, I’m quite sure that nobody in Austria will either then implement it completely. The liability issues will be enormous.”
Incidentally, Hacker is not alone in his concerns. In the gecko, too, there is said to be no consensus on the subject of shortening the quarantine – in contrast to the reintroduction of the obligation to wear masks indoors.
