Customs elements in Tangier seized a large quantity of contraband chira, cigarettes and molasses on Thursday evening.
The elements of the service, supported by agents of the Tangier brigade, carried out, on the basis of precise information provided by the Customs Administration and following having informed the public prosecutor, a search of the commercial office of a company and two warehouses located in the city center of Tangier, dedicated to the storage of large quantities of illicit products.
For this purpose, the elements of the customs got their hands on a large quantity of cigarettes and approximately 100 kg of contraband molasses, as well as numerous accessories for smokers, such as rolling papers, lighters and bottles of hookah. , in addition to a drone and regarding 7 kg of chira in the form of 676 capsules.
This operation is part of the efforts made by the ADII to fight once morest smuggling and fraud in all its forms.
