It had become a tradition: each year, Supermassive Games released a new game from its horror anthology published by Bandai Namco, The Dark Pictures Anthology, around Halloween. This practice will not disappear this year: following Man of Medan in 2019, Little Hope in 2020 and House of Ashes in 2021, Supermassive Games invites us to meet in 2022 for The Devil in Me, the grand finale of the “first season” of this series of games.

However, the British development studio was visibly bored by only releasing one game a year. He has therefore also signed a partnership with Take-Two Interactive, the result of which has been revealed: The Quarry.

Scheduled for June 10, 2022 on PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, the title will put the player in control of a group of nine participants in a summer camp. If Supermassive Games retains its principles (everyone can live or die) and its formula (the game can be played alone, in local multiplayer or online multiplayer), we can expect a game that is significantly longer than the different games. from The Dark Pictures Anthology series. Indeed, the game displays a price significantly higher than the titles published by Bandai Namco.

The game was directed by Will Byles, who held the same role for Until Dawn, and has a few stars in its cast, including David Arquette (Scream).
