The SoM SE team has released a Shadow of Morrowind mod for Skyrim Special Edition. As the description suggests, this mod will allow you to travel to Morrowind and explore what’s left of the province in the Fourth Era.
Shadow of Morrowind SE is essentially a port of the canceled Shadow of Morrowind mod for Skyrim LE. So this is a very early version. However, the new team is focused on its further development and expansion.
As the SoM SE team stated:
Our immediate goal is to develop and maintain this version of the port while working on our own expansion and reworking of content so that we can someday bring the finished version of Morrowind to the community. The team remains small at this point, so don’t expect miracles, but we do believe in being able to post our work for public comment as we go along, so while a fully featured Morrowind may still be a long way off, we hope to release new releases regularly so you can see our progress. .
