Daniel Radcliffe rechaza protagonizar “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”

Rumors of a “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” movie have skyrocketed following a statement by director Chris Columbus to Variety.

Rumors have emerged in recent weeks regarding a possible film adaptation of the play. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. However, if this project were to go ahead, the film would not have, at least for now, Daniel Radcliffe. The protagonist of the original saga has stated that he is not interested in retaking the role.

“I’m not interested right now,” he said in an interview with The New York Times. “This is not the answer people want, but I think I was able to go back and enjoy it because it’s not part of my everyday life anymore,” Radcliffe said of Harry Potter: Regreso a Hogwarts, the HBO Max reunion. “I’m getting to a point where I feel like I came out of Harry Potter well and I’m very happy where I am now. Going back would be a huge change in my life,” he added.

“I will never say never, but the actors of Star Wars they had like 30 or 40 years before they came back. For me, only 10 have passed. It is not something that I am really interested in doing at this time, ”said the actor.

Rumors regarding a movie Harry Potter and the Cursed Child were fired following statements by director Chris Columbus to Variety. “I would love to direct Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. It’s a great play and the kids are the right age to play those parts. It’s a little fantasy of mine,” he said.

A plot that was outlined in the final sequence of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, the last film in the main saga.

In recent years, Daniel Radcliffe has premiered titles such as Miracle Workers, Escape from Pretoria, Guns Akimbo or Beast of Burden. On April 13, she will return to the big screen with The Lost City, a film in which she shares shots with Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum and Brad Pitt.

The next date for Harry Potter fans in theaters will take place from next April 8, when it hits theaters Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets.
