Redmi strikes a blow, and for once the expression is not overused! The Redmi MAX is indeed a giant 100-inch television, an unprecedented size for the brand, and quite rare elsewhere.
You will have to push the walls to hang the Redmi MAX at home! This 100-inch monster TV is the largest ever built by the brand owned by Xiaomi (which was up to 98 inches anyway). It can easily replace a video projector for movie nights.
Make room on the wall
The 100-inch screen is 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160). It will therefore be necessary to have a little depth at home to avoid seeing the pixels! The screen benefits from a 120 Hz refresh, to be used with the HDMI 2.1 port (the television has three HDMI sockets, but only one in 2.1). Peak brightness is 700 nits, while the panel displays 94% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
The Redmi MAX is compatible with Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and IMAX Enhanced, it also supports AMD’s FreeSync technology. Players will therefore also be able to enjoy it, which looks quite spectacular given the size of the television. There will also be two USB-A 2.0 ports, a composite input, an Ethernet LAN port, an optical digital audio output and even a 3.5 mm jack port. Note also the presence of two 30W speakers, 64 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM. Of course, this is a Smart TV that will be able to connect to a Wi-Fi network, and even Wi-Fi 6.
In short, an imposing television by its format and also by its features, provided that you have a room large enough to accommodate it. Unfortunately, Redmi has not announced a launch elsewhere than in China, where the MAX 100 inches is marketed for 19,999 yuan, or around 2,850 euros. Not that expensive to pay for such a product…
