Fuel prices: petrol at 1 euro per litre, discount of 10 cents… here are all the good deals for the weekend

Some brands are looking for solutions to cope with rising fuel prices and limit the impact on the budget of the French. This is the case for Géant Casino and Total this weekend of March 19 and 20.

The hunt for good deals is in order. According to data from Carbu.com, diesel is €1.99 per liter on average in France, €1.93 for the SP95 (E10) and €2 for the SP95 (E5). As a result, this weekend of March 19 and 20, brands are offering discounts. We take stock.

Liter at 1 euro at Géant and Casino

Casino hits hard once more. The brand is relaunching the “1 €” operation this weekend on all brands that have a service station in mainland France. The list is to be found on the official website.

This time, the operation is still limited to 50 liters of fuel per customer. But the principle is the same: you fill up with fuel at the normal price, the difference between the price paid and the €1 liter is refunded to you in the form of a voucher that you can spend immediately in the store at from 80 € of purchases (instead of 100 € last week). The voucher is valid until Sunday March 20 at 12 noon for stores open that day.

On Friday March 18 and Saturday March 19, the “€1 liter of fuel” operation is back in all of the 233 stores with a filling station. #fuels

Discount at Total Energies

In 1,150 Total Energies stations, a discount of one euro per 10 liters of petrol or diesel within the limit of 50 liters (1€ for 10 litres, 2€ for 20 litres, etc.) is offered. The operation began on February 14 and is due to end on May 14. The stations concerned are those located in or near towns with less than 6,000 inhabitants.

Note that Total Energies has chosen to follow the government in its “fuel discount” operation. From April 1, all of the brand’s stations, including TotalAccess, will offer a 10 cent discount per liter, probably in the limit of 50 liters. On the other hand, we do not yet know if this operation will be extended beyond May 14, the initial date on which the operation of the tanker was to end.
