President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi made an inspection tour this Friday followingnoon in Old Cairo and Historic Cairo, to follow up on the progress of work on a number of national projects.
The President was keen to stop to exchange conversations with the citizens and families who happened to be present during his passing, as he congratulated them on the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, inquired regarding their living conditions, and listened to their demands.
The president stopped to speak with the owner of one of the bakeries, and asked him regarding the price of the free loaf, “Do you sell it for how much frankly?” The owner of the bakery replied: “By God, half a pound of a loaf of bread.” The president replied: “He keeps less than he wanted…Do you mean you sell the need for less than you wish?” If it costs 65 piasters, do you sell it for 50 piasters?! Then the boss asked him: “Do you work how many thousand loaves a day?”, to which the worker replied: “It means regarding 15,000.”
President Sisi asked another question to the worker: “Why is the reason for the high cost of living freely in the rest of the markets?” Another young man, who was standing next to him, replied: “Because of the global rise in general.” And here the president intervened: “You own the world, is it that we provided him with flour? We don’t buy flour from the Ministry of Supply with rations, whether it is for subsidized or unsubsidized bread? .. Bigger A profit cycle is the daily cycle. Every day I make a loaf of bread with a profit, not like other goods and merchandise. It takes a week. I mean, if I earn riyals in the loaf of “20 piasters” and I make 10,000 loaves every day, I keep my earnings per day 4 thousand pounds, that is, per month 120 thousand pounds .. Is this a small number for one bakery that makes only 10 thousand loaves per day? .. I am not talking regarding mercy and not mercy, I say anyone who has a shop or factory wants to earn from it, and I with him wants to earn and live, but with reason.
