Only one game in the NBA this Thursday evening exceptionally, and yet, we had the right to a huge card on the side of the Pistons. A totally unexpected performance, but in line with this month of March, incredible in terms of scoring. This is unheard of for 60 years.
Priority at the NCAA this Thursday evening on the USA side, which means that the NBA has kindly withdrawn, with only one game to play: Orlando, at home, received Detroit for a duel of bottom of classification. Clearly, it wasn’t very exciting and yet we saw yet another crazy performance that was hard to see coming.
The principal concerned? Saddiq Bey, who decided to release the best game of his young career for the Pistons. He finished with 51 points in the pockets, including 17/27 shooting, and 10/14 three-pointers. A real blow of heat behind the arc, which makes it possible to offer a little smile to the fans in this very complex season.
Historic March for the NBA!
Between Kyrie Irving and his 60 units earlier in the week, just like Karl-Anthony Towns the day before, the players seem unstoppable in March. Tim Reynolds, journalist, even affirms that it is a month almost never seen in the history of the NBA, proof that we do not see all these cards very often.
Detroit’s Saddiq Bey scored 51 tonight, the NBA’s eighth 50-point game in March 2022.
That’s the most that the NBA has seen in any month since there were nine in December 1962.

Saddiq Bey just scored 51 points tonight, the 8th 50-point game in March 2022. It’s the highest total in the NBA since 9 games in December 1962.
On this month, Irving (twice), Towns scored more than 50 points, but they are not the only ones. Others ? LeBron James (twice), Jayson Tatum and finally Kevin Durant. Bey comes to join this prestigious list following a magnificent performance, and confirms that he must be watched in Detroit in the future:
Great game for Saddiq Bey, who joins big names following his brilliant performance for the Pistons. It’s not over for the player, who intends to continue this momentum. A real ray of hope in Michigan for the future.
