Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen says he is “happy” that Kevin Magnussen is back on the grid with the Haas F1 Team.
Kevin Magnussen left the team with his teammate Romain Grosjean following four seasons with the Haas F1 Team, being robbed by rookie and well-funded Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher.
However, in early March, less than two weeks following the opening of 2022, Nikita Mazepin was banished from the team in the midst of global sanctions for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
It was Kevin Magnussen who succeeded the Haas F1 Team with a white arrow.
Active F1 World Champion Max Verstappen told Viaplay, “I feel sorry for him following he had to leave.”
“So I’m really happy he’s back.”
“It shows that you should never give up and that you have a lot of respect for what he has done for them. It’s good for the team to have a little more guidance from an experienced driver. Thing”
Regarding whether 29-year-old Kevin Magnussen is competitive, Max Verstappen said, “I think it depends on how good the car is.”
“If the car is rational, he will be able to perform as before. And he’s getting older and clever. It’s always helpful.”
Meanwhile, Mick Schumacher says he has not been “threatening” the experience of Kevin Magnussen, who joins the Haas F1 Team as a teammate.
“I also have experience. I know where I am and what I can do,” said Mick Schumacher’s Sky Deutschland.
“In 2020 I’m testing Haas and I talked to him and learned from him. It’s even better to be able to make a direct comparison in the future. I can benefit from it.”
