His accounts abroad were frozen.
Musician Grigory Leps has long been persona non grata in America. The artist tried to get a visa to the UK, at least for a vacation, but he was refused. However, the performer of “Glasses of Vodka”, as it turned out, trusted foreign financial organizations with his funds. And because of the sanctions, he lost an impressive amount.
“For the past 20 years, Leps has been earning very decent money and kept some of it in American and London banks,” the site quotes. kp.ru concert director, founder of the Internet project “Order of Artists” Kirill Chibisov. “All his accounts are frozen, he has no access to money. Leps there is persona non grata. It is clear that he did not lose his last money, but he is a victim of the sanctions lists. According to my estimates, Grigory Leps lost more than $20 million.”
Given that Leps is one of the highest paid Russian pop artists with a fee of 120 thousand euros per evening, he is clearly not in danger of bankruptcy.
Earlier, Chibisov said that Svetlana Loboda, who fiercely demonstrates patriotism for Ukraine, exchanged her citizenship of the Independent for the passport of the Republic of Malta.
