Bad luck in Palm Beach County (US state Florida)!
A romantic trip on vacation with her boyfriend ended fatally for Lindsey Partridge (22). The young woman was thrown off her seven-meter boat by a wave in front of the city of Boca Raton.
Her friend Jacob Smith, 24, turned the boat around but mightn’t get back to where Lindsey fell in the water fast enough. Then he jumped following her, trying to save her – in vain.
Lindsey had suffered a fatal head injury! She was pronounced dead at the hospital. Official time of death: Sunday 12:15 p.m.
Particularly tragic: her family had spoken to her on the phone a quarter of an hour before the accident. “They had fun and were very excited,” her father Donald described the conversation to the portal „Boston 25“.

A few hours earlier, Lindsey had also sent her best friend Snapchat videos of herself and her boyfriend. They were enjoying their vacation, which they wanted to share, The Sun reported.
The responsible water protection authority said: “While the ship was heading north, a wave washed over it. The victim (Lindsey Partridge) fell overboard and the occupant (Jacob Smith) attempted to maneuver the ship to pick her up.”

According to the authority, there was a warning for small boats because of the weather conditions. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
The grieving father said of his beloved Lindsey: “She was fearless and definitely a hothead. She made everyone feel loved. She might have just met you, but she would have made you feel like you’ve been friends with her for 30 years.”
Lindsey loved the family more than anything and kept them together, he said. “She never let much time go by before she visited. It seems as if she knew that every moment counts, “said the father.
The family has one following the incident donation page set up for funeral expenses. It says, “We all loved Lindsey, she was a kind, happy, fun-loving girl who brightened up every room she walked into.”
By Thursday evening, the equivalent of more than 20,000 euros had already been donated.
