Post-launch support for Godfall isn’t over yet. The most comprehensive free update to date will be released in April, and Gearbox Publishing announced its innovations today.
Godfall owners will be treated to plenty of new content on April 7th. On this day the “Exalted” update for the loot slasher will be released. This is the developer’s most extensive update to date, and is offered free of charge to all players.
Counterplay Games’ game director calls it the “culmination of a year and a half of post-launch support.” Over time, the developers have been following player feedback to introduce relevant improvements. The update should not only serve as a thank you to the community, but also represent the perfect time for newcomers.
New game mode and numerous gameplay improvements
One of the big innovations is the mode “Spirit Realms“, in which up to six players can team up. The goal is to collect souls to open the Elder Gate. Micro-shards can also be picked up, which give you powerful advantages. You also have a special ghost vision that you can use to fight deadly enemies and uncover mysteries. Otherwise, expansions with double primary properties can be unlocked.
Next, the development team improves that combat system. All weapons are equipped with powerful timing attacks, and Knockdown 2.0 lets you quickly return to battle following being knocked out. A revival system is also added so that players can revive each other.
Both bosses the seal function is removed. Thus, the bosses can be challenged as soon as the story progress allows it. Each of them now has three captains who are distributed throughout the game world. You should defeat them all to remove a curse. If you don’t, the boss fight will be extremely difficult.
The total of twelve Valorplatten receive four shards with the update. Once unlocked, you can use them to customize your playstyle and equip a second passive ability. If you also bring the shards to the highest level, you will receive a third passive ability – including a new look.
Many fans have wished that Counterplay Games would follow the Inventory assumes Developers are responding by making inventory easier to manage and sort. A completely new equipment menu allows you to save three custom builds per Valorplatte.
If you want to test your skills, you can use the new Tower of Trials tackle. You meet enemies that can go up to level 150. Several bosses should not be missing. Here you can unlock exclusive weapons that have triple primary properties.
Last but not least, the plot of improvements. The supporting characters Ravenna and Soras accompany protagonist Orin and assist him in certain missions. The team also introduces new dialogues between the orders. Macros also get a bigger role.
