Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Activists on social media circulated pictures of the former Saudi Crown Prince, Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, during his reception of the Prince of Mecca, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal.

The Emirate of Makkah published pictures of the meeting on its official page on Twitter, with a comment in which it said: “The Emir of the Makkah region, Khalid Al-Faisal, visits His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at his home in Jeddah to check on his health.”

Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz was relieved of the mandate of the covenant by the Saudi monarch, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, following he became crown prince on January 23, 2015, following the death of his half-brother King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, and Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz took over Aziz, the reins of government following him.
