46 Ukrainian refugees repatriated thanks to the Standard de Liège bus

A new convoy left Liège on Monday morning on the initiative of Félix Derison and several volunteers from Liège, this time in partnership with the City of Liège and Standard de Liège.

In all, three lorries, three cars and the Standard de Liège bus left loaded with donations (3 tons!) to head for the Ukrainian border.

The donations (medicines, bandages, clothing, hygiene products, non-perishable foodstuffs, etc.) were dropped off at the Medyka border post in Poland, before being transported via a new convoy to Ukraine and the bombed cities. .

For its return, the convoy repatriated a total of 49 people, from 6 months to 88 years old, including 46 on board the Standard de Liège coach. They fled by their own means kyiv to reach the Polish border, before being supported by the valheureux from Liège.

The refugees and volunteers were back with relief late Wednesday followingnoon following a 19-hour drive. A new successful solidarity effort has saved these war refugees.

The refugees will be rehoused in part with their families or volunteer host families while others have been dropped off at Liège-Guillemins station, in transit to other destinations: Amsterdam, Thionville, Rotterdam
