Saudi Aramco awarded Schlumberger a contract for a gas exploration project.
The two companies did not disclose any financial or technical details related to the contract.
A recent jump in oil and natural gas prices around the world, largely due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, has boosted demand for new exploration projects and increased oil production.
He was the general manager of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain For Schlumberger Middle EastZiad Juha said in a previous interview with Al Arabiya that the company is working hard to localize industries in Saudi Arabia.
He added that the company has been operating in Saudi Arabia for 80 years, which made it develop Saudi competencies and localize local industries at the level of products and tools used by customers, especially in its petroleum services, as Saudi Aramco is the largest customer of Schlumberger in the world.
