The Catalan club’s historic enclosure will be renamed “Spotify Camp Nou” at the start of the next financial year. The logo of the world’s most popular streaming subscription service will feature, for four seasons from 2022-2023, on the front of the shirts of Barça’s men’s and women’s first teams.
This agreement with the Swedish company, approved by the board of directors of the FCB, must still be ratified by the extraordinary assembly of the members of the company, scheduled for April 3.
“As part of this alliance, the two entities will work together to create new opportunities to make the jersey a space that can pay tribute to different artists around the world,” the club wrote in its press release.
Spotify will therefore succeed the Qatar Foundation (2011-2013), Qatar Airways (2013-2017) and Rakuten (2017-2022) on the Blaugrana jerseys, which have long remained unsponsored.
