Emmanuel Macron will hold its first campaign meeting on April 2 in Paris, franceinfo learned from the candidate’s entourage, confirming information from Le Parisien, RTL and Cnews. This meeting will therefore take place a little more than a week before the first round of this presidential election, the campaign for which is being disrupted by the conflict in Ukraine.

Mobilized by the war in Ukraine and his duties as President-in-Office of the Council of the EU, Emmanuel Macron has not yet participated in any campaign meeting. In Marseille, he was represented by Gabriel Attal and the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin.

The president-candidate will also present his project Thursday, March 17 followingnoon, during a press conference. It will be held from 3 p.m. at the Docks de Paris, in Aubervilliers (Seine-Saint-Denis). The first round of the presidential election will take place on April 10. The second round will take place on April 24.
