The United Nations indicated that the number of refugees from Ukraine reached 2.95 million people, yesterday, regarding half of them, or regarding 1.7 million people, crossed to Poland. More than 450 thousand arrived in Poland, regarding 350 thousand in Moldova, regarding 265,000 in Hungary, and regarding 215,000 in Slovakia.
According to figures from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, more than 140,000 people have gone to Russia and more than 1,200 to Belarus. On the other hand, German Interior Minister, Nancy Wieser, dismissed fears of security risks that may be associated with the arrival of Ukrainian refugees to Germany.
The minister said, in statements to German radio station “Deutschlandfunk”, on Tuesday, that the Federal Police is strengthening the inspection of internal borders and tightening control when detecting anything interesting.
“I know there are criticisms of this, but I support it, because we have to have an overview of the situation,” she added.
