The 2022 school year began Secondary educational spaces for transvestites, trans and dissidents in the cities of Rosario, Santa Fe and Reconquestreported this Tuesday the Ministry of Equality, Gender and Diversity of the province.
Currently, the undersecretary for Equality and Diversity Policies, Nerea Tacari, specified, “there are more than 80 people registered between the three locations”data that accounts for “a need for a sector of society, which continues to choose these spaces to finish their studies,” he said.
In charge of the Ministries of Education and of Equality, Gender and Diversity, the baccalaureate is aimed at the trans/transvestite, dissident population -it also admits other identities- over 18 years of age and works in the cities of Reconquest, Santa Fe and Rosario under the modality of the Middle Education Establishments for Adults (Eempa).
The entire run lasts for three yearsfollowing which the students are given a bachelor’s degree with national validity.
According to the provincial director of Equity and Rights of the Ministry of Education, Vanina Flesia, this is the second year “of the classroom extensions that aim to be able to give answers to the transvestite, trans and dissident collective.”
“These spaces are part of policies that seek repair longstanding damage, significantly expanding the life projects of each and every one. This is a real policy that makes historically denied rights effective,” said Tacari.
The high school, concluded the official, reaffirms the commitment of the Government of Santa Fe to implement “public policies aimed at generate real transformations in the trajectories of people“.
