Almost 12,000 volunteers in a year to achieve personalized medicine | Society

Less than a year following its launch, the Cantabria Cohort project is advancing with “record” figures, with almost 12,000 volunteers and with research groups and pharmaceutical and biotechnological companies that want to join this program aimed at seeking personalized medicine for all kinds of pathologies.

One of its promoters, the scientific director of the Valdecilla Research Institute (Idival), Marcos López Hoyos, has recognized, in an interview with Efe, the importance of this citizen response in less than twelve months.
