Today, the Museum of Islamic Art received King Ahmed Fouad II, during his current visit to Egypt, and was received by Moamen Othman, Head of the Museums Sector at the Supreme Council of Antiquities, Dr. Mamdouh Othman, Director General of the Museum of Islamic Art, and some officials of the museum’s departments and trustees.

His reception ceremony included a show of Tanoura arts, and a theatrical performance for students of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Helwan University entitled (Al-Darb Al-Ahmar Path)..

The King toured the museum, during which he visited its various halls, and expressed his great admiration for the wonderful archaeological exhibits and collectibles he saw..

It is worth noting that King Ahmed Fouad II, during his visit to Egypt, accompanied by some members of his family and the accompanying delegation, visited the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, Sultan Hassan al-Rifai’s Antiquities Area, Salah al-Din Citadel in Cairo, and the Royal Vehicles Museum. Prince Muhammad Ali Palace Museum in Manial, and Al-Moez Li-Din Allah Al-Fatimi Street.
