An Argentine judge issued an arrest warrant once morest the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and number two of Chavismo, Diosdado Cabello, in case he tries to enter Argentina, they confirmed this Sunday (03.13.2022) to Efe government sources following it was published by the newspaper Clarín.
The preventive arrest warrant was issued by Mariela Alejandra Giménez, substitute judge of the federal court of Jujuy, a province in northwestern Argentina, bordering Bolivia. “The federal security forces received a request from the judge of the Jujuy court, which was sent through the Foreign Ministry (Argentina) because it is an international arrest warrant,” the sources consulted indicated.
They specified that the legal document sent to the Federal Police, the Gendarmerie (border police) and the Airport Security Police includes an alert with a photograph of Cabello and indicates that he “would have an arrest warrant from the United States,” in a case in which he is accused of drug trafficking.
The sources added that the alert was issued due to the suspicion that Cabello “might enter Argentina through Jujuy these days”, something that has not happened so far, probably coming from Bolivia, as the Argentine press speculates.
