A strong relationship between the artist Ahmed Ramzy and Omar Sharif and the artist Faten Hamama brought together a triangle of love and friendship surrounded by many secrets that the days reveal one following another.
The friendship between Ramzy and Omar lasted for more than 50 years, starting in high school, where Omar was able to convince Ahmed Ramzy to enter the world of acting, and at that time the duo participated together in the movie “Our Good Days”.
Ramzy and Omar agreed to be together in all their films, and at that time, Omar’s family welcomed his friendship with Ahmed Ramzy, so that Omar Sharif said in an interview that Faten was jealous of him from Ahmed Ramzy.
Omar and Ramzi’s strong relationship was only disturbed by assistant director Youssef Chahine, when he instilled doubt in Omar’s mind during the filming of the movie “Struggle in the Port”, and convinced him that Ramzi loves Faten and meets her in secret, and that he flirts with her from time to time.
The goal of Youssef Chahine’s assistant was to have Omar Sharif beat Ahmed Ramzy in one of the film’s scenes in a convincing way, especially since they are very friends.
Indeed, jealousy took control of Omar’s mind, and he started hitting Ramzi until he knocked him to the ground, to the point that the latter ran away from him in fright.
The estrangement between the two stars lasted for 7 years, but it ended while they were on the birthday of Salah Zulfikar’s daughter, and at that time Omar apologized to Ramzy and asked him to co-star in the movie “The Story of a Life”.
Omar, Ramzi and Faten’s relationship was not limited to filming times only, but Ramzy was constantly staying up with them, and they went out together, and he and Faten exchanged secrets.

Atef Salem said in his memoirs that Ramzy loved Faten Hamama, but he hid his love because of his friend Omar Sharif, and he also said that Omar was jealous of Faten from him, while Faten was surprised by their closeness, and that Ramzy loved Faten, but Omar was the most precious person in his life.
When Ramzy was asked regarding his love for Faten, he refused to comment, and only said that she is a unique person and artist like no other.
