In addition to Shenzhen in Guangdong Province, China, the Dongguan Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters also announced the closure of the city today (14th). From 8:00 a.m., the city’s buses and subways have been temporarily suspended. The industrial park will fully implement closed management, which will be initially implemented at 24:00 on the 20th, and will be dynamically adjusted according to the progress of the epidemic.

Guangdong Province added 79 local confirmed cases yesterday, 1 in Guangzhou, 75 in Shenzhen, 2 in Dongguan, 151 new local asymptomatic infections, 11 in Shenzhen, and 140 in Dongguan.

In order to effectively prevent the spread of the epidemic, the Dongguan Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters decided to carry out multiple rounds of nucleic acid testing in the city, suspend all non-essential flows, retain necessary entrances and exits and set up checkpoints, all of which will be implemented in a joint system.

The local government said that people in the city will not leave Dongguan unless necessary, and strictly control the production of enterprises. Factories, enterprises, and industrial parks will implement closed management in an all-round way, and strictly implement anti-epidemic measures such as temperature measurement, real joint system, and wearing masks at entrances and exits.

The company should publish the list of employees living outside the factory to the local three-person team and incorporate it into community management. Enterprises within commercial offices should work from home in principle, and enterprises that do not have the conditions for working from home retain less than 50% of their employees. All construction sites will be temporarily suspended, according to government requirements.
